ならいじゅくとまつもとじょう！

六月二十九日にならいじゅくとまつもとじょうへバスで行きました！ながのはちょっととおいから、午前五時半に起きなければなりませんでした。でも、わくわくしたから、前の晩はねられませんでした。とにかく、バスの窓からうつくしいけしきがみえました。日本はたくさん山がありますね！山は大きくてみどりがきれいでした。そして、山の間にたくさんでんとうてきな家がありました。町が好きですが、いなかはとてもすごいです。

On June 29th, we went by bus to Narai-juku and Matsumoto castle! Because Nagano is a bit far away, we had to wake up at 5:30 in the morning. But, because I was so excited, I couldn't sleep the night before. Anyway, from the bus window you could see beautiful scenery. Japan has many mountains! The mountains are big and green. And, inbetween the mountains are traditional houses. I like the city, but the countryside is definitely amazing.

ならいじゅくへ着いた時、大きいもくせいのはしが見えました。はしはとても古いですが、強いですね。むかし、旅行している人はならじゅくで休みました。ですから、ならいじゅくはたくさん古い店で手でつくったものがあります。そして、時々人は旅行しながらしんでから、ならいじゅくもたくさんじんじゃとお寺があります。

When we arrived at Narai-juku, we saw this huge wooden bridge. The bridge is very old, but strong. In ancient times, people who were travelling rested in Narai-juku. Thus, Narai-juku has many old shops and handmade things. And, because sometimes people died while travelling, Narai-juku also has many Shinto Shrines and Buddhist temples.

それから、まつもとじょうへ行きました。まつもとしろは日本に一番古いしろですから、とてもたいせつでとくべつです。まつもとしろに入ってから、さむらいと写真をとりました。おもしろかったですね！まつもとじょうの中には暗くてちょっとこわかったです。でも、六階から、きれいなけしきが見えます。日本は本当にすばらしいです。

After that, we went to Matsumoto Castle. Because Mastumoto Castle is Japan's oldest castle, it is very important and special. After we entered the castle, we took a picture with a samurai. It was very interesting! Inside Matsumoto castle was dark and a bit scary. But, from the sixth flor, you had a beautiful view. Japan truly is amazing!

私のさいしょうのじんじゃ！

昨日、クラスが終わってから、しんじゅくをさんぽうしました。おなかがすいて、安くておいしいたべものがほしかっただから、どこでもいいでした。ちょうどいいどこかでさがしながら、じんじゃを見つけました。町にあっても、そのところはとてもしずかでした。すごくて、きれいで、美しかったです。友達、アマンさんとブリタニさんとアダムさん、もそう思いました。アメリカへ帰る前に、そのじんじゃへまた行きたいです。そこにえを書きたいんです。ずいぶんかんどうてきからでした。今じんじゃへ見に行ったことがあるといえます！

Yesterday, after classes ended, we walked around Shinjuku (the sect of Tokyo where KCP International's school is). We were hungry, and because we wanted cheap but delicious food, anywhere was good. While we were looking for a place that was just right, we discovered a Shinto Shrine. Even if it was in the city, that place was very quiet. It was breathtaking, clean, and beautiful. My friends, Amanda, Brittany, and Adam, thought so too. Before I return to America, I want to go to that shrine again. I want to draw a picture there because I was so moved. Now I can say that I've been to a Shinto Shrine before!

私のマンション！

今、日本にいます！

日本に午後八時半だけですが、もうとてもつかれました。アメリカから東京まで五十時間ぐらいかかります。ながいですね。まず、ニュージャージーからトロントまでで行きました。その旅行は一時間半だけでした。たのしくてかんたんでした。しかし、旅行はトロントから東京のなりたくうこうはずいぶんながかったです。でも、ひこうきは大きかったし、いすの後ろにテレビがあったし。そして、二つひこうきはまにあいました、よかった！

それから、KCPグループに会いました。おくれませんでした！KCPは私に待ってくれました。うれしかったです。みんな学生は来てから、なりたくうこうからバスでかさい駅へ行きました。日本のけしきがぜひ見たいですが、ねむすぎました。もうすぐ、寝てしまいました。かさい駅へ一時間かかりました。もしかしたら、日本はあつかったかもしれません。じつは、さむかったです！上着をきたから、だいじょうぶでした。

今、わたしの部屋にいます。日本のアパートの名前は「マンション」です。私のは広くて、きれいですね。それで好きです。ベランダもあります。これはベランダから見えた写真です。きっとすばらしいでしょう。私の部屋も小さいだいどころやトイレがあります。明日から、私がしゅっせきしなかればならない日本語のじゅぎょうがはじまります。

今月、わくわくします！

Right now, I am in Japan!

It's only 8:30 in the afternoon here, but I am already very tired. From America to Tokyo, it takes about fifteen hours. It's very long. First, I went from New Jersey to Toronto. That trip was only one and a half hours. It was fun and easy. However, the trip from Toronto to Tokyo's Narita airport was very long. But, the plane was big, and the seats had TV's on the back. And, both planes were on time, thank goodness!

After that, I met the KCP group. I wasn't late! KCP waited for me. I was extremely happy ^_^. After all the students came, we went from Narita aiport to Kasai station by bus. I wanted to see Japan's scenery, but I was too tired. Soon, I fell asleep. It took about one hour to go to Kasai station. I thought Japan was hot, but actually, it was cold! Because I was wearing a jacket though, I was okay.

Now, I am in my room. Japanese apartments are called "mansions". Mine is spacious and clean. And so, I like it. I also have a veranda. These are the pictures of what can be seen from the balcony. It's certainly awesome. My room also has a small kitchen, a bathroom, among other things. From tomorrow, the Japanese classes I have to attend will start.

This month will be exciting!
